Simple Travel Plans
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 21 October 2026
This policy explains what information Simple Travel Plans collects and how it is used.
Information we collect
If you join our email list, we collect the email address you enter. We may also receive basic information connected to your signup, such as the date you subscribed.
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send.
Why we use this information
We use your email address to send the guide or newsletter you asked for, to send useful travel information, and to reply when you contact us.
For newsletter emails, our legal basis under the GDPR is your consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time by unsubscribing.
Email service
Our newsletter and free plan signups are handled by Kit (Kit/ConvertKit LLC), which stores our email list and sends our emails. When you sign up, Kit processes your email address for this purpose. We use it to send the free plan you asked for and occasional travel emails. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe anytime. Kit may process data on servers outside your country, using the safeguards required by applicable data protection law. As a backup, we also store signup email addresses in Google Sheets (Google), and we use them only to send our travel plans and occasional travel tips and offers; you can unsubscribe anytime.
Affiliate links
Some pages may contain affiliate links, including links to Viator. If you click an affiliate link, the provider may use cookies or similar technology to record that the visit came from our site. If you later make a qualifying purchase, we may receive a commission.
Affiliate providers have their own privacy policies. Please read those policies on their websites if you want to know how they handle your data.
Cookies
This basic website does not set its own advertising cookies. Third-party services linked from the site may use cookies when you visit their websites. Affiliate links may also use tracking needed to record a referral.
How long we keep information
We keep newsletter information while you remain subscribed, unless we need to keep limited information longer for legal or record-keeping reasons. If you unsubscribe, we stop sending marketing emails.
Your rights
If the GDPR applies to you, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent at any time.
You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority if you believe your data has been handled unlawfully.
Children
This site is for general travel planning and is not intended to collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the website or the services we use change. The latest version will always appear on this page with its update date.
